Director of Pricing - Truckload

As the Director of Truckload Pricing, you will lead and optimize the truckload pricing operations to ensure strategic and competitive positioning in the domestic transportation market. You will manage the bid process, pricing strategies, and customer engagement initiatives while driving continuous process improvements and leveraging advanced analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the customer bid process, including contracts, awards, system billing, rating structures, EDI, and API data integration.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and implement pricing strategies that enhance opportunity win rates and profitability.
• Lead in-depth comparative analysis of market data to develop tailored pricing solutions.
• Support sales and operations teams responding to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring competitive and accurate submissions.
• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior and executive leadership, operations, and sales teams.
• Monitor, analyze, and report key metrics such as volume, yield, and award management performance.
• Partner with technology teams to enhance pricing and analytics tools to meet organizational goals.
• Act as a subject matter expert in domestic truckload pricing strategies and the truckload marketplace.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of recent truckload pricing experience, with 3PL domestic over-the-road expertise.
• High proficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly Excel and Access; experience with data analytics tools preferred.
• Strong understanding of McLeod systems; familiarity with Four Kites and Project 44 is a plus.
• Proven track record in developing and executing pricing strategies within a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Mid-career professional with 8-12 years of total logistics experience, including 5+ years specializing in truckload pricing.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the greater Qunicy area; open to remote candidates with experience in managing decentralized teams.
