Engineering Management - Civil

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for all market sectors
  • Perform both structural design and analysis calculations for structural steel, concrete, masonry, timber, aluminum, and light-gauge steel
  • Interact with architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, owners, and clients
  • Provide direct onsite engineering assessments and field observations
  • Resolve design and construction conflicts through construction administration
  • Manage and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering
  • 10-15 years of professional experience as an engineer with a focus on the design of structural infrastructure
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, and  International Building Code (IBC)
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience with RAM Elements, STAAD Pro, RISA-3D, Etabs, or similar analysis software
  • Advanced Structural Engineering: FEA, post-tensioning, progressive collapse, blast analysis/design
  • Knowledge of processes of governing permitting agencies such as building departments and/or environmental agencies
  • Understanding of other disciplines such as: architecture, site civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, fire protection, geotechnical, surveying, and environmental
  • Experience with project management of major construction projects including estimating, cost control, schedule, and contractor management
  • Sound communication skills


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to pass Air Force background check


Compensation: $140k - $150k + Equity
